Shah bound for Assam, Dass leaves for Barak Valley today

GUWAHATI, July 2: If tiol BJP president Amit Shah is bound for Assam for organizatiol matters so as to make the party winner with maximum seats in 2019 Lok Sabha poll, State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass is leaving for the Barak Valley districts tomorrow to make the party winner in the 2018 panchayat poll.

The tiol BJP president will arrive in the State on August 8, 2017 and will stay in the State till August 10. He is going to visit the State so as to strengthen the organizatiol base of the party in Assam. Shah does not want to leave any lapse on party organization that may cost them dearly in the forthcoming parliamentary election. According to state BJP leaders, Shah is coming to the State to strengthen the party base. He is visiting all states, not Assam alone. The turn for Assam visit is August. However, his tour schedule has not been filized as yet, not even if he is going to address any public rally in the State or not.

After the landslide victory in the recently-held KAAC poll, a jubilant Dass has already toured all the upper Assam districts for preparation for the panchayat poll in the State. Now he is heading for the Barak Valley districts. On July 3 he is going to take part in the party’s Cachar executive committee meeting at Silchar, besides taking part in a return rath programme. On July 4 he is going to take part at the booth and divisiol level meetings of the party at Lakhipur LAC. 

Meanwhile, on July 16 the party is going to hold a state-level media workshop in Guwahati. The workshop is to impart training to party spokespersons on policy matters and stance of the party on various issues. Apart from Dass, tiol spokespersons and senior leaders of the party will take part in the workshop. All office-bearers and spokespersons of the State committee, five media members from each of the media department of the party in the districts, district general secretaries and others will attend the meeting.
