BJYM set to take steps to make GST a success

GUWAHATI, July 1: The BJYM, the youth wing of the BJP, is extending its total support to the one-tion one-tax system that is implemented in the country from today. The youth wing is set to take steps to make the new tax regime a success.  The leaders and cadres of the State BJYM were on celebration spree at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan at Hengarabari in the city last night when the President of India launched the historic GST at Central Hall. State BJYM held a special programme on the occasion of GST rollout. From 10 pm last night, they saw the live telecast of the GST rollout. Present at the programme were State Commerce and Industries Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, Power Minister Pallab Lochan Das, Dhekiajuli MLA Ashok Singal, a number senior leaders of the party and chairpersons of various boards and PSUs, besides leaders and cadres of the State BJYM. The programme was conducted by State BJYM president Anup Barman. In his welcome address, Barman said: “This system has scripted a history in tax reforms in India. With this India has enrolled itself as a member of the GST Club. In order to make common people avail the benefits of GST and to bring about awareness into it the BJYM is going to take some special steps.” A power-point presentation on GST made the programme lively.
