GUWAHATI, May 3: The All Assam Blind Students’ Union (AABSU) has hit back at Pratibandhi Suraksha Sangstha, Assam (PSSA) president Paramanda Rai for the latter’s allegation that acting headmaster of Guwahati Government Blind High School Bhaben Chandra Barman conspired against him.

Addressing the press at Guwahati Press Club here today, AABSU president Arup Das said: “Paramanda Rai, who had his education in this blind school, won’t be allowed to destroy the educatiol atmosphere of the school. If the government wants, we’ve no objection in handing over any land of the school for any educatiol purpose. However, we’re not going to let PSSA to grab land by hatching a conspiracy.”

On April 25, Rai was on record telling the media that the acting headmaster of Guwahati Government Blind High School Bhaben Chandra Barman had conspired against him and provoked the government and the media by leveling an allegation that he (Rai) had made an attempt to grab land of the blind school on the pretext of erecting a rest house for differently-able people either in the blind school campus or in that of the deaf and dumb school at Kahilipara.
