Bodo version of Rita Choudhury's book released

GUWAHATI, Dec 19: The Bodo version of famous Assamese novel ‘Deulangkhui’, written by tiol Book Trust Director Rita Choudhury, was released by Gauhati University (GU) professor Anil Bodo at Guwahati Press Club today. While releasing the book, Bodo said: “The Bodo version ‘Modai Thungri’, which was translated by famous Bodo writer Pramila ndi rzari and published by Sahitya Akademi, is a noble step to making the Bodo literature richer.  The Bodo writers should do more translation works from other languages to Bodo and from Bodo to other languages to spread the literary works in other parts of the world.”

Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) vice president Bisweswar Basumatary said: “The present Bodo writers don’t follow the proper spelling procedure in writing their works in Bodo, which should be developed.” The iuguration programme was presided over by Sahitya Akademi award recipient Mangal Singh Hajuary, and attended by Rita Choudhury, writer Bidyasagar rzary and others.
