Body on job to keep sanctity of Bihu intact

GUWAHATI, June 7: The Brihattar Guwahati Bihu Sanmilani Samanvay Rakshi Samiti (BGBSSRS) came out with certain steps to be taken up so as to keep the tradition of Bihu in the face of its extinction threat. According to office-bearers of the Samiti, none of artistes and organizers should be allowed to be in Bihu stage in inebriated state, all Bihu artistes should perform at Bihu programmes attired in traditiol outfits, the sanctity of Bihu should be kept intact from multitiol companies that outrage it in the me of holding Bihu functions, etc. They also appealed to all Bihu sanmilanis to conclude all Bihu functions by Bohag 15.
