Bohagi Utsav at Dimoria

DIMORIA, April 17: Apart from Bihu dance, the dances of a number of ethnic groups of Assam and other parts of the country, were seen at the Bohagi Utsav observed yesterday by Star Cement Plant at Samata in the Sopur area.

Besides Bihu dances, the dances of various tribes of the state, including Boro dances, Dimoria’s local Lalilang dance and Zumur dance of Tea Tribes, were seen at the Utsav. A troupe that came from outside the state presented the dances of around 12 tribes of the country.

The Utsav was iugurated by Star Cement administrative officer rendra Kumar Memodia. ACP Hari Chandra Sarma was also present at the function. Along with Star Cement employees, around 200 local people also attended the utsav.
