Bora, Mahanta pay homage to Jayalalithaa

GUWAHATI, Dec 7: Ministers Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta went to Cheni and handed over the condolence message of Assam Government to new Chief minister of the South Indian State Panneerselvam on the demise of J Jayalalithaa. The duo laid a floral wreath at the burial ground at Meribeach in Cheni on behalf of the State Government and the AGP.  Yesterday, Assam Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary represented the State at the burial of Jayalalithaa.

Talking to The Sentinel over telephone from Cheni, Bora and Mahanta said that Jayalithaa had been a big power in the South in so far as regiol politics is concerned. Her demise is a great loss for regiol politics. “The love of the common people in TN for her is beyond imagition,” they said.
