Bora urges all to boost AXX

GUWAHATI, July 10: Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) president Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bora has said that cooperation from all to lead the AXX to the right direction is the need of the hour. He has also appealed to all to come forward to take the premier literary body of the State forward.

Dr. Bora made such a statement while talking at a function organized by Nobarun Shakha Xahitya Xabha at Hatigaon in the city recently. Nobarun Shakha Xahitya Xabha has contributed as many as 140 life-time members, eight well-wishing members and six well-wishing families to the AXX. This gesture from Nobarun Shakha Xahitya Xabha made the AXX to give it the status of ‘Shatadal Shakha’.

Meanwhile, under the aegis of the cultural committee of the AXX a cultural workshop is being held from July 15 to July 22 at Bhagawati Prasad Baruah Bhawan in the city. The workshop will impart training on Goalparia Folk Dance, Kushan Dance and Kamrupi Folk Song among the participants.
