Boycott Chinese goods: HYCPA

By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 28: The Hindu Yuba-Chatra Parishad: Asom (HYCPA) has appealed to Dispur to boycott Chinese goods by taking the aggressiveness of the neighbouring country towards India.

In a statement issued to the press today, HYCPA president Balen Baishya said: “The Northeast is rich in water and oil resources, tempting Chi. This is the reason why Chi has blocked India’s entry into the NSG. However, instead of maintaining enmity with the neighbouring tion, Indian leaders have been extending their friendship gesture. We demand that the Centre should order shoot-at-sight in the event of incursion by Chinese army into any areas in India. New Delhi should asks Chi to withdraw from Aksaichin, give up its claim over Aruchal Pradesh and stop meddling in PoK etc. Or else India should extend its support to the movement for independence of Tibet. In such a situation, boycotting Chinese goods is a must. However, Dispur continues to allow Chinese goods in the State.”
