Brahmaputra Board meeting held

Guwahati, Jan 31: The 62nd meeting of Brahmaputra Board was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Sanjay Kundu, Chairman of Brahmaputra Board at Brahmaputra Board Headquarters here. The meeting was attended by the Joint Secretary and Fincial Adviser of the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvetion, the representatives of the Governments of Assam, Manipur, galand, Tripura and Aruchal Pradesh. The Ministries Union Government like Meteorological department, Geological Survey of India and DoNER were represented by their senior officers. The meeting reviewed the activities taken up by Brahmaputra Board and sought cooperation from the States and other specialized agencies. The meeting also prepared a road map for future growth and development of river Brahmaputra and its valleys in the Northeast.
