GUWAHATI, Oct 16: Crime branch ofCity Police seized 71 grams brown sugar and arrested four persons in this connection from Kotahbari under Gorchuk police station on Monday. The four persons have been indentified as Cherly Ryngkhlem, Khir Tammang, Sajid Ali and Grisful Sumer.

GUWAHATI, Oct 16: Two motorcycle-born miscreants took away Rs 5 lakh contained in bag that was kept inside the car of one Akash Dubey near AG Bus stop at Beltola in the city on Monday. The miscreants broke the windowpane of the car and decamped with the bag containing the cash. Dubey filed a case (923/17) at Bashistha PS in this connection.

GUWAHATI, Oct 16: A youth – Bidur Choudhury – hailing from Srirampur fell unconscious in the State Secretariat campus this evening. He was rushed to the GMCH where doctors suspected that the youth might have consumed poison.
