Brothers' secretary general bags award

GUWAHATI, April 26: Dibyajyoti Saikia, secretary general of Brothers, a social organization, was conferred on the Ganga Jeswari Gaurav Rashtriya Bota at Jalgaon in Mumbai recently by Sahitya Ganga for his contribution in the field of education and social service. Saikia has been instrumental in providing educatiol facilities to poor students, helping people in flood and erosion-affected areas, taking steps through his organization against witch-hunting and in putting pressure on the government for ecting an Act against the practice. The award was given away by Dr. Sudhir Maheshwar, vice chancellor of North Maharashtra University.
