BSF observes vigilance week

GUWAHATI, Nov 5: A week-long vigilance awareness programme was observed by Border Security Force (BSF) at Guwahati Frontier and in the under command units and sector headquarters from October 31 to November 5, 2016.

The observance of the week commenced with the administration of vigilance pledge by officiating DIG/PSO. While administering the pledge the DIG said that the objective of this week is to reaffirm the force’s commitment to fight against unethical practices, blatant violation of systems and procedures, corruption prevailing at work places. He emphasized the need for creating awareness on governce in the force. He also briefed the personnel about the week-long programme, a press release said.

All the staff in the headquarter took a pledge to ‘continuously strive to bring about integrity and transparency in all spheres of our activity, work for eradication of corruption in all spheres of life, remain vigilant and work towards growth and reputation of the organization, bring pride to the organization through collective efforts and provide value-based service to our countrymen, do our duty consciously and act without fear and favour.

The programme was observed by displaying banners, slogans and posters on anti-corruption at prime locations. Competitive debates, lectures and essay competitions on anti-corruption were organized among the BSF personnel today.
