GUWAHATI, Nov 11: It seems that Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora is fighting it alone for the party in the bye-polls for Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat and Baithalangshu LAC slated for November 19. No Congress star campaigner is seen campaigning for party candidates. Neither former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi nor AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi is seen to campaign for party candidates in Assam. Strangely enough, Rahul Gandhi did come to Assam almost a month ago to appear in a court case in Guwahati, a case for which he could have sent his counsel. The BJP, on the other hand, has thrown its full weight behind its candidates fighting in Lakhimpur and Baithalangshu seats. Many BJP heavyweights are campaigning in the bye-polls.
