Cabinet expansion during Bihu: Dass

GUWAHATI, April 11: BJP Assam Pradesh president Ranjit Kumar Dass today said that the State Cabinet would be expanded during the Rongali Bihu, but not on Bohag 1 as the tiol executive committee of the party is going to meet on April 15 and 16 at Bhubaneswar. The expansion of the Cabinet will be certainly after the party’s tiol executive meet, but during the Rongali, said Dass. Sources, however, said that the Cabinet expansion would not be over in one go as the government is likely to induct six or seven faces now, and the remaining one or two would be inducted after the KAAC elections. Sources, however, made it clear that induction of a member each from the AGP and the BPF is certain. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal left for New delhi today. He is supposed to hold talks with top party leaders on the expansion of his Cabinet.
