Campaign on traffic rules in city

 GUWAHATI, Aug 7: Alert today, Alive Tomorrow, a CSR campaign on traffic rules, was organized by Guwahati Traffic Police at ABC point, near Rajiv Bhawan on Sunday. Barricades, leaflets, stickers etc., were used to promote the cause amongst the pedestrians, drivers, riders and others. Celebrities like Aimee Baruah, designer Santashree Mallik and many others were present.  HN Barman, Additiol Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati was also present on the occasion. He remarked, “It’s very important to come up with such initiatives often and every citizen must follow and maintain traffic rules solely for their safety and well-being”. 

Diganta Das, the brand ambassador of the campaign said: “Life is very precious. Alertness and awareness while on the go can save hundreds of lives, including your own. I urge everyone to abide by the rules and stay safe.” The campaign ended with a bike and car rally from ABC point, via Ganeshguri, Zoo Road, Chandmari, Ulubari and Bhangagarh. The rally was flagged off by Nitin Jain, Diganta Das, Vikas Agarwal, CEO SM Group and SK Jain, Maging Director SM Group.
