Cancer control programme launched

Guwahati, Aug 1: Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati launched the Year of Community Oncology here today, a PR said. By launching the Year of Community Oncology, BBCI will be intensely conduct community-based cancer prevention and control programmes from August 1 this year to July 31 next year. BCCI Director Dr AC Kataki said cancer incidence rates will continue to rise in India due to the rising burden of chronic disease risk factors.
