GUWAHATI, March 15: Retired Captain of Indian Army Gha-shyam Das popularly known as Hill, breathed his last at Down Town Hospital in the city here at 10.25 am on Thursday following a cardiac arrest. Capt Das was alumnus of both St. Edmund’s School, Shillong and Sainik School, Goalpara. Subsequently he joined the tiol Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy. After successfully completing trainings and courses at NDA and IMA he was posted to the elite Parachute Regiment (10 PARA) of the Indian Army. After being with the forces for 10 years Capt Das later joined his father’s business at P. Das and Company in Guwahati.
