MIRZA, June 12: Bijay gar police failed to b a dreaded car lifter – Boga alias Anowar Hussain – when they raided at Haligaon in Palasbari last night. Acting on a tip-off that the car lifter was hiding in the house of jib Ali at Fakirpara, the police rushed to the spot only to find that Anowar fled the scene. The police, however, could recover a Pulsor bike (AS01DH 9649), a Nokia mobile handset and an Italy-made 7.65 pistol and three cartridges from the house. Anowar had also given the police such slips before.
Anowar is a history sheeter.
