Case against fraud company

GUWAHATI, July 18: The Amrit MRD Investor Protection Society (AMRDIPS) president and secretary have filed a case against the Amrit Project authority. AMEDIPS president Niranjan Saha said: "The project authority has cheated the poor people of the state by giving false appointment to the thousands of youth as agents of the project and collected around Rs 300 crore from them. They have established head office in Ulubari in Guwahati in 2006 and collected this money for insurance. However, the company closed all their offices in the state at once and trying to run away without paying the maturity money of the people. We, therefore, filed a fraud case against the company authority in the Gauhati High Court for return of the money."
