CBI reveals Rs 592 lakh NSIC scam

GUWAHATI, March 20: The CBI has revealed a scam amounting to Rs 592.88 lakh in the tiol Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC), Guwahati branch, Bamunimaidam. The CBI has found that four officials, including a then senior branch mager, flouted the existing norms for bank guarantee by exceeding the limit of while granting fincial benefits under the Raw Material Assistance Scheme during 2011-16, leading to a wrongful loss of Rs 592.88 lakh to NSIC.
