CD on Assamese poetry released

GUWAHATI, April 5: Ekajoli Kobita, a CD of recitation of Assamese poetry, was released by Dr Amarjyoti Chowdhury in a function held at India Club here on Friday, a press release stated. The poems by Chandradhar Barua, Jatindrath Duara, Hem Chandra Goswami, Hem Barua, Jyotiprasad Agarwala, Sailadhar Rajkhowa, Debakanta Barua, Keshab Mahanta and Nirmal Prabha Bordoloi are recited by Dr Srutimala Duara. Prominent writer Nirupama Borgohain graced the function as the guest of honour while Dr Manjumala Das was the special guest. The function, conducted by Banda bis Das, was attended by a large gathering, the release added.
