Central Bank of India brings laurels to Assam

GUWAHATI, Nov 16: Central Bank of India, Guwahati received the first and third awards from the Centre for excellence in Rajbhasha implementation during 201016.

In a release issued to the press today, the bank’s Field General Mager HB Pantola said: “The excellent Rajbhasha implementation being done by the offices of Central Bank of India is well recognized by the Government of India and awarded the bank’s zol office, Guwahati as first and regiol office, Guwahati as third among all the banks in Northeast India.”

The awards, according to the press release, were handed over to Bank’s Chief Mager (Rajbhasha) Rajiv Varshney along with SS Yadav by Sikkim Governor Shriniwas Patil at a function at Gangtok recently. Union Minister of State Kiran Rijiju and others were also present at the function.
