Change in Variable Dearness Allowance

Guwahati, May 21: Consequent upon increases in the All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Industrial Workers by 2.80 per cent following the change CPI from 1139 in June 2014 to 1171 in December 2014, the VDA at the rate of 75 per cent of the percentage of rise - 2.10 per cent - of daily wages shall be payable to all loading and unloading workers in all work/employments related to loading and unloading operations in the State with effect from January 1, 2015. Earlier, the CPI changed from 1070 in June 2013 to 1107 in December 2013 and from 1107 in December 2013 to 1139 in June 2014.
