BY OUR STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI, Dec 10: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) led a protest rally from Rotary Club of the city to Digahlipukhuri on Thursday. The protest rally was joined by hundreds of protesters from various organizations.

Speaking to the media, CITU state committee secretary Tapan Sarma said, “We have noticed that, after BJP government came to power at Centre, the religious organizations became more active to create a situation of intolerance in the country as well as Assam. The Centre and State, both have introduced various anti-people policies, which can only profit the corporate bodies. We, therefore, strongly oppose the policies of both the government and demand a healthy environment for the peace of the general people and call the public to stand against this conspiracy.”
