City artiste scripts record with mandolin

GUWAHATI, Aug 25:  Kuntai Raj Chakraborty, a mandolin player hailing from Guwahati, scripted a record in Indian music industry, besides performing with many prominent music persolities of Assam and West Bengal.

Chakraborty set the record by playing mandolin at a speed of 1200 beatings per minute for the title – Intertiol Talents & Intellectuals. He was felicitated with a trophy, a medal and a certificate. 

A month back he had achieved another tag of Indian Book of World records on behalf of IWR Foundations, which is the first of its kind in music industry of India.

Sharing his feelings Kuntai said, “I feel very proud that I did something for my country. Now I’m preparing to break the record for a berth in Guinness Book of World Record.”
