City residents to get draft electoral rolls today

GUWAHATI, May 4: The draft electoral rolls of 31 wards of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) area will be published on May 5. Accordingly, the final electoral rolls will be published on May 31. The electors can inspect the draft electoral rolls and lodge claims and objections in their concerned designated locations till May 14. Kamrup (M) district election officer Chinmay Prakash Phukan informed this in an official communiqué. The term of the present functionary will continue till August 23.
