Cleanliness drive by First NDRF Bn

GUWAHATI, Dec 11: First Battalion tiol Disaster Response Force (NDRF), deployed at Patgaon in Guwahati, organized ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’ by cleaning and launching the sanitation campaign at Guwahati Medical Collage & Hospital ( GMCH) from 7 am to 10.15 am today. During the Swachh Bharat Campaign more than 90 NDRF personnel and GMCH staff took part. The Swachh Bharat Campaign was officially launched on October 2, 2014 at Rajghat in New Delhi where Prime Minister rendra Modi wielded the broom & cleaned a road. So the NDRF, on the footstep of the tiol campaign, involved itself very actively in the Swachh Bharat Campaign. The first NDRF decided to make massive public awareness and to ensure participation of the local community on the ‘Swachh Bharat’ movement while conducting Familiarization Exercise (Famex), Mock Exercise & Community Awareness Programme.
