Cleanliness drive undertaken by FCI

GUWAHATI, Nov 1: Food Corporation of lndia in pursuance of instructions issued by Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution undertook a special cleanliness drive in the form of Swachchhta Pakhwada from October 16 to October 31 under Swachchh Bharat Mission of Prime Minister of lndia. Accordingly, the cleanliness drive started with oath taking ceremony for cleanliness by Bhaskar Hazarika, IRSEE, General Mager (Assam) to the officers & staff of RO Guwahati in presence of B. Devand, DGM (Region) and other dignitaries. Many activities like drawing and painting competition, poem recitation and speech competition on “Cleanliness is Happiness” were also organized, followed by an interesting quiz with instant prizes by Durgesh Kumar Shukla, AGM (G). Plantation of saplings and plants was also done by officers at FSD Changsari. A blood dotion camp was also organized by Food Corporation of lndia, Regiol Office, Guwahati, in association with Food Corporation of lndia, Zol Office, Guwahati and Guwahati Medical College Hospital at Food Security Depot, New Guwahati.
