CM meets Xatradhikars, assures help

GUWAHATI, June 21: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal today met the Xatradhikars of Majuli subdivision and discussed a gamut of issues concerning the Xatras at a programme organized by Shri Shri Uttar Kamalabari Xatra. This is the maiden visit of Sonowal to his constituency Majuli after becoming the Chief Minister.
According to a release issued to the press today, the Xatradhikars apprised Chief Minister Sonowal about the problems plaguing the Xatras. Sonowal assured the Xatradhikars of State Government’s all possible support and cooperation to solve the problems of the Xatras. The Chief Minister also promised the Xatradhikars of initiating steps to preserve Majuli’s rich spiritual-cultural identity and to promote it worldwide.
