CM mourns death of 6 in accident

GUWAHATI, Dec 17: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal mourned the death of six members of Assam Publication Board Secretary Promod Kalita’s family in a road accident at Balikuchi village on Kamarkuchi-Paikarkuchi road in lbari district on Saturday evening. The deceased have been identified as Promod Kalita’s wife Rumi Kalita, daughter Harshita Kalita and four other relatives Samaran Talukdar, Barada Talukdar, Pragati Talukdar, Pompi Talukdar. In a message, Sonowal said that he was saddened to hear the news of the fatal road accident. The Chief Minister also expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eterl peace of the departed souls.
