CM reviews preparation for Modi's programme

GUWAHATI, May 24: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal on Wednesday took stock of preparations for the meeting to be held on the occasion of completion of one year of the State government in office, at Veteriry College field in Khapara of the city ahead of Prime Minister rendra Modi’s visit to Assam on May 26.

Prime Minister that day will address the tion on the occasion the 3rd anniversary of the NDA government in the centre and will also participate the celebration of first anniversary of Sonowal government.     

The review meeting held here was attended by District administration officials besides the State BJP president Ranjit Dass.

The Chief Minister in the meeting instructed the party workers to ensure participation of common people in the meeting.

The Chief Minister directed the district administration officails to carry out all preparatory works for the the programme  on a war footing. He further sought participation from all sections of the society considering the fact that the event is not a mere government programme but an event of immense public importance. The Chief Minister has asked the party workers to go door to door of the city residents to ensure participation of people at the mega rally.

Meanwhile, the party has booked tickets in five trains for the participants besides arranging 1000 buses and 2500 light vehicles
