Congress-AIUDF tie-up an ominous sigl: BJP

GUWAHATI, July 7: BJP Assam Pradesh has reeked of an ominous sigl in, what it says, the understanding in the making between the Congress and the AIUDF for the coming Lok Sabha election. In a statement issued to the press today, State BJP spokesperson Mehdi Alam Bora said: “The AIUDF backing the candidature of Congress candidate for the Presidential poll Meira Kumar has proved it beyond doubt that the two parties have an understanding between them. It indicates that they may fight the coming Lok Sabha poll and the Assembly election together.” Bora said: “In one hand, the Congress talks of secularism, and on the other, it takes the support of commul parties like the AIUDF. The development has exposed the true colour of the Congress. Congress-AIUDF fighting the election together will be an ominous sigl for the State.”
