Congress to organize foot march on Nov 2

GUWAHATI, Oct 26: The Assam Congress is going to organise a two-day padyatra (foot march) from November 2 as a part of the birth anniversary celebration of former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi.  APCC president Ripun Bora will flag off the march in Gohpur on November 2. The march will be culmited on November 3 at Pub-Kalabari. On the other hand, the Congress workers will stage a road blockade on November 1 at Orang in Sonitpur district demanding immediate repair of the tiol Highway 15.

Meanwhile, the APCC has hit back at Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for his comment that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has no knowledge on economy. Prasad had said, “The Congress vice president is yet to understand the serious dymics of economics and development.” Condemning the comment of Prasad, the APCC in a statement said that the people of the country has understood Prime Minister rendra Modi and Fince Minister Arun Jaitley‘s command over economy.  “If Modi and Jaitley have so much knowledge on economy, then why the GDP of the county has came down from 5 % to 8% this year. Even former Fince Minister Jaswanta Sinha has slammed Modi for poor implementation of demonetization and GST,” said the APCC.
