Cooperative society benefits farmers

GUWAHATI, March 24: Formed in November 1917, Assam Farmer Producer Co-society Limited (AFPCSL) has set the target of creating an era for the development of poor farmers of the State and has maged to facilitate fincial support to their members for livelihood and distributed more than 100 tractors, more than 50 commercial vehicles in a subsidized rate of 38 per cent, a press release said.

At the same time, under the minimizing of expenses of the poor, AFPCSL has distributed commodity items and a few electronic goods like mobile in subsidized rates, besides providing fincial support of Rs10,000 to unemployed youths.
