CPI-M stir against price rise

GUWAHATI, March 28: Members of the CPI(M), Guwahati central regiol committee, demonstrated at Dighalipukhuripar in the city today in support of their demand for halting eviction drives in the State till altertive arrangements are made and checking the alarming rise in the prices of cooking gas and other essential commodities. In a statement issued to the press today, Kashyap Choudhury said on behalf of the committee: “The BJP came to power with the promise of ‘Poriborton’ and ‘Achche din’. However, after coming to power it goes on doing some sort of activities that make the life of the poor pathetic.”
