Cultural nite

GUWAHATI, June 3: Shrutiad, an organization for promotion of music and culture, held a cultural programme at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in the city yesterday on the occasions of the birth anniversaries of Sangeetjyoti Vivekanda Bhattacharjee and Boul poet Kamala Kanta Bhattacharya. Noted poet Anis Uz Zaman said that the songs of the two poets could be compared with Dhrupadi songs. These songs should be preserved, he said.  Shrutiad secretary Ragini Bhattacharjee said: “We will hold a workshop on the songs of these two poets.”
