GUWAHATI, June 3: Members of the Samata Sainik Dal (SSD), Assam staged a sit-in at Dighalipukhuripar in the city today in support of their six-point charter of demands. They sent a memorandum to the President of India through the Governor. Their demands include putting an end to atrocities on Dalits in Sharanpur in UP and other parts of India, crimes against women etc.
