Dass expands BJP's State executive body

GUWAHATI, May 4: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expanded his Council of Ministers on April 26, 2018 and the BJP Assam Pradesh followed suit by expanding its State executive committee on Friday.

State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass inducted a number of new members, including the newly-inducted ministers in the State, into the State executive committee of the party on Friday. Some of the prominent leaders who were inducted into the State executive are Sum Ronghang, Bhabesh Kalita, Pijush Hazarika, Topon Kumar Gogoi, former minister Aminul Islam, former MLA Liaqat Ali Khan and others. Dass has also inducted as many as 12 party leaders as special invitees to the party’s State executive. He has also inducted the conveners and co-conveners of party’s various departments and projects as members of the State executive committee of the party.
