Dass greets idu

GUWAHATI, August 6: State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass has greeted Vice President-elect M Venkaiah idu for his new assignment.

In a statement issued to the press, Dass said that idu, who had joined the BJP in 1980, had been a Union minister since Atal Bihari Vaypayee was the Prime Minister. In Prime Minister rendra Modi’s Cabinet, he was the Minister for Urban Development, Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation, and Parliamentary Affairs etc. He could prove his metal as a Union minister. During his term as the tiol president of the party, idu led the party smoothly, Dass said.
