Dass takes stock of party through video conference

GUWAHATI, May 21: For the first time in the State, Assam BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass exchanged opinions through video conferencing with the 38 district committees of the party holding their executive committee meetings in the State today. Dass took stock of the organizatiol preparedness of the party in the State, survey of the party programmes currently underway, plan and implementation of future programmes of the party, preparedness for the May 26 programme at Guwahati where Prime Minister rendra Modi is going to address the tion from, the booth committee meetings of the party to be held on May 28, preparations for the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bolidan Divas, etc.

Dass asked party leaders in the State to get ready for the Panchayat poll slated to be held in 2018. He said that the panchayat poll would be a challenge for the BJP that opted to go it alone, without going for any alliance with any other parties. With the BJP Government at the Centre completing three years and the one at Dispur completing a year in office, the party workers have much to do so as to make people aware of the achievements of both the Central and the State Governments. Dass appealed to all party workers to make the Prime Minister’s programmes at Sadiya, Gogamukh and Guwahati grand success. Dass also said that the party has geared up for the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) polls slated for June 12 this year. He said that he was going to hold such a video conferencing with the booth committees and gaoburhas so as to exchange views with them and to take the thoughts of the government to the people and people’s thoughts to the government.
