DC asks CO to file case against a person

GUWAHATI, April 4: Kamrup (M) DC has asked the Guwahati Revenue Circle officer to file a case against one Dhiren Mahanta of Jaypur, Kharguli in the city, for earth-filling up a public drain and putting a slab over it, thereby restricting the tural flow of water leading to water-logging. The DC also asked the PWD (Road) and the GMC to take necessary measure to restore free flow of water. Due to water-logging in the area, water inundated three houses in the area yesterday.
