GUWAHATI, Jan 18: Kamrup(M) DC M Angamuthu has reviewed preparations for the Republic Day celebrations at the central programme of the State to be held at Veteriry Field at Khapara in Guwahati where Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi is going to hoist the tiol Flag. The review meeting with various departments was held at the Circuit House. The meeting chalked out everything of the programme, including showering of petals from the sky by the Army at the venue. Later in the day on January 26, a programme – At Home – will be held at Raj Bhawan. Instructions have been issued to all concerned for the programme. The DC also asked all concerned to repair and make city roads and public places clean, repair of streetlights, illumiting important places in the city, removing all unwanted hoardings from the airport to Khapara, removing old vehicles from roads, cab drivers and autorickshaw drivers to be in uniforms etc., keeping an eye on the ensuring investors’ summit.
