DC takes stocks of NRC and other works

GUWAHATI, March 10: Kamrup (M) DC M Angamuthu today reviewed the scrutiny of NRC documents, preparations for the Gutsav of schools, works of the Revenue Department and that of Disaster Magement Authority at the Circuit House in the city. The DC came to know that the verification of 96.65 per cent NRC documents was over in Kamrup(M), said ADC Khitish Pegu, NRC in-charge. Till March 9 as many as

5,68,601 of 5,88,519 NRC documents were verified and uploaded.  Verification of NRC documents was over in Azara, Chandrapur, Dispur and Sopur revenue circles. However, in Guwahati revenue circle 94.35 per cent of verification is over.  In the five revenue circles in the district 93.86 per cent of the documents have been uploaded.

On Gutsav, as many as 257 answer script evaluators, 61 liaison officers and 708 nodal teachers have been given training for phase 1, said District Education  Department and SSA.

The meeting also directed the Disaster Magement Authority to bring about awareness among the people in landslide-prone areas in the city. The authority has also been asked to identify landslide-prone areas in the city within a month. The DC has asked the revenue circle officers to hold meetings on Disaster Magement by March 20 and to draw a strategy to fight the mece.

The DC also took stock of the works of Revenue Department.

Present at the meeting were District Development Commissioner Barli Sarma, ADCs Prati Mazumdar, badwip Pathak, Khitish Pegu and Pulak Mahanta and circles officers from Dispur, Chandrapur and Sopur; and Sweety Bezbaruah from the SSA.
