Death of Rohini, Baikuntha condoled

GUWAHATI, April 10: Former Axom Unt Xabha (AUX) president, noted educationist, social activist and former principal of Moran HS School Rohini Kumar Gogoi’s death was condoled by Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, leaders of the AASU and the AGP today.

In a condolence message, Sonowal said that during his life Gogoi served the society sincerely. He expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members of Gogoi.

Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary also condoled the demise of Rohini Kumar Gogoi. In a statement, Minister Patowary said that Late Rohini Kumar Gogoi pearheaded the Axom Unti Sabha in making youths self-employable in various sectors. Asom Unti Sabha under the president-ship of Rohini Kumar Gogoi also undertook various socio-cultural mass awareness programmes which benefited the youths tremendously.

        Minister Patowary said that Rohini Kumar Gogoi’s contribution in the field of social practices, moral values and education would be highly regarded and remembered by posterity. The Minister prayed for eterl peace of the departed soul and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.   

AASU chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya, president Dipanko Kumar th, and general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi said that in the death of Gogoi the AASU has lost a guardian.

AGP president Atul Bora and working president Keshab Mahanta prayed for the eterl pece of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members.  The AASU and AGSU also condoled the death of Baikuntha th Deka, former secretary of Asom Swahid aru Nirjatito Sahajya Nyas.
