Demand for Majuli as world heritage site

GUWAHATI, Aug 20: UNESCO Association of Guwahati has raised its demand for inclusion of Majuli as a world heritage site. The Association, at a press meet on Sunday, said that for the first time the UNESCO Club Association, Headquarter Paris elected an Indian as its president. Dhirendra Bhatgar is the first Indian President of UNESCO Club Association. Bhatgar was also present at the press meet.
