Demand for removal of CO

GUWAHATI, August 16: A conflict between the garbera revenue circle officer Dimoni Das and the latmandals led the latter to raise the demand for the removal of the former. There are allegations that Das assaults the latmandals and other employees physically and mentally when he is in inebriated state. The All Assam Mandal Kangu Sanmilani’s Kamrup district branch informed the Kamrup DC of all the incidents in writing on July 21, 2016 but to little avail. Now they demand the removal of the CO by August 25, failing which they will start an indefinite non-cooperation agitation putting all works into a grinding halt.
