Demand for unemployment allowance

GUWAHATI, May 29: Members of the All India Democratic Youth Organization (AIDYO), Assam State Committee rent the air at Dighalipukhuripar in the city today demanding allowance for unemployed in the State till they are provided with job avenues.

AIDYO’s state president Osman Gonimullah said: “The problem of unemployment has been up manifold in India due to pro-capitalist economic policies. We demand massive industrialization in order to put an end to the problem of unemployment. So long the unemployed aren’t provided with jobs they should be paid unemployment allowances. We also demand immediate ban on liquor, drugs, pornographic literature and cinemas.”
