Demonetization hits Azara hard

AZARA, Nov 19: There are as many as 14 ATMs of different banks in the Azara area on the outskirts of Guwahati, but many of them are dry. The people in the area have been facing a harrowing time due to cash crunch. To the utter surprise, a Uco Bank ATM there is closed for the 12th day today. Most of the other ATMs go dry in the morning after a few of the customers getting cash. Everyday customers are seen standing in long queues in front of ATMs but they have to go home frustrated as the ATMs go dry after sometime. The affected people in the area have demanded of the authorities concerned to provide adequate cash in the ATMs and open the closed Uco Bank ATM.
