Deoris demand development council in Kamrup Metro, Rural

GUWAHATI, Jan 7: The Guwahati Deori Kalyan Samiti has made a fresh demand for a development council in the twin districts of Kamrup. In a press communiqué, the GDKS said that though the Deoris have an autonomous council, the jurisdiction of the autonomous council doesn’t cover the Deoris living in Kamrup Metro and Rural and so a separate development council should be announced for the benefit of those living in the twin districts.
